CREATION OF THE BIG PICTURE

In the beginning there was a plan

And the plan was based on assumptions

And assumptions were without form

And the plan was completely without substance and was void

And darkness fell upon the faces of the Soldiers.

And they spoke to their Sergeants saying:

IT'S A CROCK OF SHIT, AND IT STINKETH
 
 

And the Sergeants went to their Warrant Officers and sayeth:

IT IS A PAIL OF DUNG, AND NONE MAY ABIDE THE ODOUR THEREOF
 
 

And the Warrant Officers went to their Captain and sayeth to him:

IT IS A CONTAINER OF EXCREMENT, AND IT IS VERY STRONG SUCH THAT NONE

HERE MAY ABIDE IT
 
 

And the Captains went unto their Major and sayeth untohim:

IT IS A VESSEL OF FERTILISER, AND NONE CAN ABIDE ITS STRENGTH
 
 

The Majors went unto their Colonel, and sayeth untohim:

IT CONTAINS THAT WHICH AIDS PLANT GROWTH, AND IT IS VERY STRONG
 
 

And the Colonel went unto the Brigadier and sayeth to him:

IT PROMOTETH GROWTH AND IS VERY POWERFUL
 
 

And the Brigadier went to the General and sayeth to him:

THIS POWERFUL NEW PLAN WILL ACTIVELY PROMOTE THE GROWTH AND

EFFICIENCY OF THE DEFENCE FORCES AND THE GENERAL RESERVE IN

PARTICULAR
 
 

And the General looked upon the plan and saw that it was good

AND THE PLAN BECAME POLICY
